While we are participating providers with most insurance companies and most insurance companies will provide coverage for Scoliosis Bracing since it is the standard of care for treating idiopathic scoliosis not all companies will fully pay for a WCR brace. The reason they often give about denying portions of the brace are that most of the professional papers written about this type of brace come from Europe (which they consider experimental) and there isn’t that much research done on it in the United States as of yet. Most often our Bay Orthopedic insurance department billers can help you weave your way through the red tape but each case has to be handled individually and we will guide you one on one with the process.
